Sound Fetcher may not be distributed as a part of any commercial package or used in support of a commercial service. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Program Description and Functions Sound Fetcher is a small program designed to let the MIRC user find and use sound files fast and easy. This program will probably work with other applications, but it has only been tested with mIRC. Sound Fetcher is a automatic sound command application that will Stay-On-Top of all your other applications. It opens at the top center of your screen and can be moved anywhere for easy access. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installing Sound Fetcher To install Sound Fetcher do the following. 1. Since you are reading this file, I am assuming you have already unzipped the Sound Fetcher files. 2. All the unzipped files should be in the same directory or disk before installing. 3. From the Windows Program Manager, select "RUN" from the "FILE" menu. 4. Type a:setup or c:\D*i*r\setup where D*i*r is the directory where the Sound Fetcher files are located. 5. Follow the setup instructions as they appear on your screen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sound Fetcher Setup To setup Sound Fetcher, do the following: 1. In (Default Sound File Directory) type the path where your wave files are located. 2. In (Remote App. Title Bar Caption) type the name that appears in the title bar of your IRC application, i.e. mIRC 3. In (Leading String) type the command that will precede the file name, (i.e. /sound). Do not put a space after the Leading String, because Sound Fetcher will do that for you. 4. In (Trailing String) type the command that will follow the file name (i.e. Andy did it!). 5. Click the SAVE button. Position your cursor in the channel window text box. 2. Click the GET button and a file dialog box will appear. 3. Select the sound you desire by double clicking it or highlight it and click OK. The sound will be sent automatically to that channel or person. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Registration To register Sound Fetcher Fill out the following: 1. Run Sound Fetcher. 2. Click the SET button. 3. Click the Help Button. 4. Click the Register button. 5. Type the information into the form. 6. Click the Print button. 7.
